It is important for us to receive your feedback if any of these projects are of interest. Please send us an e-mail. If we receive a good response to a particular project, we will perform a detailed costing analysis then ask everyone who has indicated an interest to firm up their commitment.

Customer demand and feedback will determine what we manufacture.

Hudson 4-6-4 in 4.75"- 5" or 7+ gauge.

This locomotive has been a very popular 1" and 1.5" scale project for scratch builders in North America for over 40 years. It is a well proven design with an all welded steel boiler and  piston valves. The locomotive can be fuelled with coal,  propane or diesel oil. ModelWorks proposes to build a batch of 50 in kit form in either 5",  7.25" or 7.5" gauge to suit the Customers requirements.

If the 4-6-4 Hudson is not to your liking but a different North American loco is and you feel it will of interest to others too, please let us know.

Four-Seater Likamobile

Our two seater car has sold well in Europe and North America.  Responding to Customer feedback we propose building a batch of 50, four-seaters with a larger engine and higher capacity boiler.

Quarter Scale Tiger Tank

We propose building a batch of all steel construction quarter scale Tiger Tanks. The design and mock up is in the process of being produced. We would like your feed back on preferred propulsion method and if the driver should be on-board or in radio control.

6" Scale Traction Engine

Based on our very successful 4" scale Burrell we propose building a limited batch of 6" scale engines. At least 10 potential Customers have already registered their interest. Let us know if we can add your name to the list.

Hunslet 0-4-0 Diesel Hydraulic in 5" or 7+ Gauge

This very useful Hunslet in 5" or  7+ gauge is also a possibility for batch production in kit form. It would have a 5-8 hp petrol engine with Eaton Mk7 hydraulic transmission. The prototypes are used to this day on the Bord na Mona peat railways in Ireland.

Hunslet Quarry Tank Loco

with riding tender for 5" or  7+ gauge

Again responding to Customer feedback for a larger but simple to construct and maintain steam loco for 5" gauge or the growing fast  7+ gauge hobby, both in kit form.  This Hunslet is under evaluation for production. It would be 52" long x  21.25" wide x  33" high. The Tender is 34" long and 21.25" wide

Like our Traction Engines, the Customer would be able to personalize this loco with many colour schemes, names and accessories.

Locomotive Builders Rotary Stand

Designed by Arthur Coleman, this stand will allow the initial assembly and future maintenance/overhaul of any 1" scale locomotive.

Supplied in one kit for assembly by the Customer
