THE TIME & THE MOVEMENT OF SIX PLANETS - ALL IN ONE SUPERB TIMEPIECE

Named after Charles, Fourth Earl of Orrery in 1716, this clock has, in fact, two movements. The timepiece shows time on horizontal revolving dials and is linked to the upper planetary trainthe Orrery movement. This shows six planets which are geared to rotate exactly as in nature:-

The Earth - 365 days
Mercury - 87 days
Venus - 229 days
Mars - 689 days
Jupiter - 4339 days
Saturn - 29.5 years

(A setting chart is pr vided giving the locations for each planet on the 1st of the month)

Both movements are wound by a single key incorporated in the mahogany base. They have an 8-day running time

The clock comes as a single kit easily assembled at home with the tools supplied and only requiring hand finishing and polishing.It is supplied as 1 Kit £1375.00 (Deposit £276.00 and final payment of £1099.00 on Shipment) Please note that these Clocks are made to order and Lead times are +- 12 Weeks.
